Nurse Practitioners in Ambulatory Care: Baffin Regional Hospital (NV321)
Recipient: Baffin Regional Health and Social Services Board
This project was approved for funding to pilot and evaluate an expanded primary care role for nurses within the ambulatory services of the Baffin Regional Hospital in Iqaluit. Unfortunately, due to human resource issues, the project was not able to proceed within HTF timelines and was terminated by mutual consent.
This project was supported by the Health Transition Fund, which was created in 1997 to provide support for evidence-based decision-making in health care reform by supporting pilot and evaluation projects which test innovative approaches to health care delivery.
